Our History
We are a four-generation family-built firm with roots dating back over 80 years to 1939. That's when Joseph Buska Sr., Sue Buska's grandfather, opened Buska & Buska Insurance in the basement of his home in Mosinee, Wisconsin. Sue's father, Joseph Jr., joined the agency in 1957 and Sue began working for the company in 1980 as a retirement specialist. In 1992 she branched off from the insurance agency and opened her own office to focus on retirement income planning in Wausau, WI - centering her efforts on educating the public. In 2007, Sue's oldest son, Cole Bruner, joined the firm as Vice President. In 2023, her daughter, Kailey Berendsen, also became part of Buska Wealth Management. Today, Cole leads as President of both companies and Kailey serves as Vice President.
